Catrin Jones

Massage Therapy

Catrin-Jones-01In December 2008, Catrin Jones graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy here in Victoria. During the following year she worked throughout the greater Victoria region with a diverse group of patients who ranged from elite Olympic athletes, to children, as well as elderly patients; all of whom presented with a variety of conditions including acute and chronic injuries, stress related conditions, and those dealing with MS, cancer, and spinal cord injuries.

In 2010, Catrin and her husband moved overseas to Switzerland where she focused much of her attention on learning French, becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor for both adults and children, acquainting herself with several European countries and most importantly, training and racing for many marathons throughout Europe where she placed in the top three numerous times including three Swiss marathons, two in Lausanne and the other in Geneva, as well one in Bergamo, Italy.

Sport and health have always played a major role in Catrin’s life. For twelve years she trained as a competitive swimmer at a National level. After this time she began to train as a distance runner and hasn’t looked back since. Because of Catrin’s experience as an athlete, she understands the importance of taking care of one’s body and how massage therapy can aid in decreasing the stresses we endure on a daily basis. Catrin feels that finding balance through every aspect of our lives is crucial in taking care of our bodies. This includes addressing injuries when they first come around, but also avoiding injury before it occurs. Maintenance is key!

Catrin is truly excited to join the multidisciplinary clinic here in Cook Street Village and looks forward to taking on new patients from the community.
